1.  Eat Well

Consuming a diverse diet that contains lots of fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins is enough to ensure that most people get the right nutrients for eye health.

4.  Use Safety Eye-wear

If you use dangerous or airborne materials at work or at home, wear safety glasses or protective goggles.
Sports like ice hockey, racquetball and lacrosse can also cause eye injury. Wear the protection of eyes. Helmets will cover your eyes with protective face masks or sports goggles with poly-carbonate lenses.

 

5.  Look Away From the Screen

Staring at a computer or phone screen and other screen for too long can cause:

  • Neck, back, and shoulder
  • Trouble focusing at a distance
  • Eyestrain
  • Blurry vision
  • Headaches
  • Dry eyes

Protect your eyes:

  • Make sure your glasses or contact pamphlets are up-to-date and good for viewing on the computer screen.
  • If your eyes do not get strained, talk to your doctor about computer glasses.
  • Move the screen so that your eyes are flat with the monitor’s head. It lets you see a little down on the screen.
  • Try to avoid glare with windows and lights. Use an anti-glare screen if needed.
  • Choose a comfortable, supportive chair. Keep it in such a way that your feet are flat on the floor.
  • If your eyes are dry, then blink more.
  • Relieve your eyes every 20 minutes. See 20 feet away for 20 seconds. Get up at least every 2 hours and break for 15 minutes.

 

6.  Visit Your Eye Doctor Regularly:

 

Everyone needs regular eye check-up, even small children. It helps to protect your vision and lets you see your best.

Diseases can also occur in the examination of the eyes, such as (glaucoma) which have no symptoms. It is important to spot them quickly when they are easy to treat.

  • The ophthalmologist is a medical doctor specializing in eye care. They can provide general eye care, can treat eye diseases, and eye surgery can.
  • The optometrist has taken 4 years of special training after college. They provide normal eye care and treat the most common eye diseases. They do not ophthalmic surgery.

 

7.  Avoid eye injuries working at home.

Wear the protection of the eyes while working in electrical appliances or chemicals or during home maintenance, renovation or garden, and cooking

 

8.  Take regular breaks.

Regular break while working in front of your computer. Stemming a computer causes eye irritation and tiredness and it can cause long-term damage to your eyes. Include regular breaks and try to exercise some eyes to relax your eyes muscles.
